  The pebbles are in the box border. The climbong rose on the fence is sprouting well.

  Trellis on the kitchen wall, with rose sprouting well. Joan copied the English method of training the stems horizontally.   Two months later; past its best but still flowering.
   
  The magnolia and plum trees in the rear have finished flowering (Sep 2002)   Vegetables doing well, and beans have sprouted. (Sep 2002)
