Broken night's sleep with 5 am chuckup. Went to morning appointment with David, our GP and sorted out many queries. He feels that the omentum is physically interfering with the stomach outlet and is trying an anti-nausea drug which does help pump stuff through the stomach as well. I took one mid-afternoon, which still didn't prevent a small chuck around 5 pm.

He's also gee'd up the palliative care lady, who will be calling tomorrow at 11 am to get me into her system. From all accounts, she (and her staff) are most knowledgeable about cancer and drug problems, so I'll be asking lots of quiestions.

OK - so where did the 21st get to anyway??? Just another timeslip -- and a ring from Sandy to check on my state of health.

The palliative care coordinator came on schedule and took voluminous case notes. these ladies are very much on the ball; she said she'd organise a Lazy-Boy lounger for me and will be calling in at least once a week to sort any problems.

An interesting thing: I'm getting the 'creepy-crawlies' all over my skin, arms and body. Now this is something I realised that I hadn't had for some months, every since I started on chemo. From this I deduce that cell regeneration is back in full swing, replacing all those old dead skin cells :~} It's quite different-feeling to eczema or insect bites. Some skin cream applied regularly seems to be keeping it under control, any way...

The Palliative Care people turned up with my Lazy-Boy chair this morning; I gave it a field test for an hour or so and found it excellent. Tonight will prove whether I can use it as a bed, though.

This afternoon I checked out my Tecra laptop and made sure all the Icarus site files were transferred over. I'm now doing the Kronikle update by WiFi, which will enable me to bypass going upstairs when my energy levels are low. Then I'll get my 'bed' organised for the night.

Sorry folks -- was just right out of oomph this week to even think of posting. Lots happened of course.

I had another tussle with bad constipation from the morphine -- but when the drought broke every laxative pill wanted to work first. The palliative care nurse came in this morning and installed a morphine pump; this will deliver a precise dose of morphine and also the anti-nausea drug as well over 24 hours.

We had a couple of visits from Carole and Bryan Head, old friends from Wanganui. Great to see them and catch up with news.

So that's me up-to date; still in there swinging!
