Again, today was the best day I've had for ages. Reasonable sleep, and managing to get some solid food down. I was able to spend a little time in my office this morning, attending to bills and the odd letter. This afternoon, we drove out for an appointment with our podiatrist. Up to now, I've always been able to cope with my own toe nails; but the chemo has made them go extra hard and I'm also having some trouble keeping bent over. So it was great to have the full foot treatment. A rotten day all day -- as far as weather goes; the rain has stopped now, but we had some heavy showers and driving wind during the afternoon. The temperature has now dropped back quite a lot this evening as well -- i guess the wind has shifted from the warm northerly and is delivering some colder southern air. |

Another oops! I was wiped last night after having a shower, and ended up getting straight into bed without doing the Krons update. However, I have to report that I spent most of the day asleep in my chair, so there was a dearth of interesting news.... |

So... while I'm upstairs inserting the above, I thought I'd better do todays update -- since it's nearly tea time. And once more I have to report that I spent most of the day in my chair, sleeping. Dead boring. I know; but the interesting thing is that I'm sleeping during the day, but I did get a reasonable abount of sleep during the night. Guess it's just the body repair processes at work. |

Jo drove me to Aiden the naturopath this morning to check on my condition. He thinks that my liver -- in spite of the low cancer level -- is rather clogged up trying to deal with cancer cell crap. This might account for my low energy levels. He's given me some treatment to take and we'll see if there's any improvement next week. The rest of the day was just routine, although I was rather more alert than yesterday. |

Nothing to report today. Dead boring, little change in my condition, spent most of the day dozing. And that's probably my shortest post on record... |

I've had a busy day attending to both ends of me. Nausea this morning; also dealing with recalcitrant bowel for most of the day -- all fixed, fortunately. Seems to be a consequence of the pain relief I've been taking, amongst other things. Still, we cope OK. So consequently I haven't been wonderful today; actually went to bed for a large part of the afternoon and slept solidly. Still trying to build up some energy and stamina, but it's very hard work. And of course weekend daytime TV is crap if you don't watch sport... |

Well, today was the best I've felt for ages. I had reasonable periods of sleep last night; a chuckup about 4.00 am, but then slept on through to 7.30 am. Had a good breakfast, then got the old Acer laptop from upstairs and started stripping out programs which will not longer be needed in it's new role: our salesman Paul needs it to do presentations for the Kiwistay portal sales campaign. A visit from friends Debbie and Pat from Paramaraumu this afternoon; they are working their way back south after going up to Auckland and then to Coromandel. Had a great old chatter, so nice to see them. I'm off now for a shower and early bed. |
